Dufour Energy is organizing an LNG conference on October 25, 2023 in Calgary, Canada. Canadian natural gas producers understand that Asia is the key driver for the development of natural gas resources in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. At the LNG 2023 conference held in Vancouver, Canada in July 2023, the message was clear: LNG is needed to sustain economic growth in Asia.
Canadian natural gas producers view that LNG Canada phase 2 is moving ahead, and the Cedar LNG project would benefit significantly from lower transportation costs on Coastal GasLink. increasing the potential for an FID. FortisBC has announced that they are starting the construction of the new 50-km pipeline to the Woodfibre LNG site near Vancouver, expected to be in service in 2027. Tourmaline Oil and Ovintiv, 2 of the largest natural gas producers in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, have recently joined the Rocky LNG Partners that is collaborating with the Nisga’a Nation and Western LNG to develop the Ksi Lisims LNG project in Northern B.C.. The governments of Alberta and Canada are discussing possible greenhouse gas credits for the displacement of coal by Canadian LNG in other countries.
These developments show increased optimism and interest in monetizing WCSB gas assets through LNG. The conference's targeted audiences are natural gas producers, Canadian LNG project developers, pipelines and services companies.
Dufour Energy is looking forward to meeting you at the conference.
